Joe believes meaningful therapy begins with a strong, authentic relationship. Feeling seen, accepted, and understood creates the conditions for real change. He prioritizes building this foundation first, trusting that growth follows connection.
Working with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, masculinity and men’s issues, Joe’s approach blends psychodynamic exploration, cognitive-behavioral tools, and relational work. He helps clients to understand how their history and adaptive strategies shape current emotional patterns, while strengthening the skills they already possess to shift unhelpful thinking and behavior.
With extensive past experience in working with artists, Joe understands identity, culture, and the creative blocks that arise from self-doubt and overthinking. He earned his Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Brooklyn College (2024) and holds an MFA from Pratt Institute, where he taught for over twenty years.. Joe is dedicated to co-creating a secure space where clients can be curious and courageous.
